It is based on interviews conducted with 72 Palestinians chosen at random. It first analyzes their degree of assimilation ranging from alienation to "100 Percent American." Then it discusses the acute consciousness of the Palestinian Americans to the Palestinian problem and their involvement in the American political and civil societies. Finally it reflects on the attitudes of second generation Palestinian Americans towards being an American and towards the Palestinian problem and the intifada.
